these courses can accumulate toward the complete program, if you wish)

Winter/Spring Schedules:
Weekday Section B: Begins February 16, 2008, Ends October,
2008. 11am-4pm, Mon., Tues., Thurs., Fri. + an occasional
weekend. 600 hour full program
CLASSES OFFERED:
*Massage Therapies (Theory and Application) - 168 hours - A
broad range of massage styles, so you can choose the most appropriate for
your clients. Swedish, Deep Tissue, Neuromuscular, Energy and Trigger Point
work, range of motion, body mechanics, precautions, hygiene, interpersonal
skills, and treatment of many dysfunctions. (note: this course MUST be taken
with Musculoskeletal Anatomy, or you may test out of it if you have already
taken at another school). Includes 40 hour clinic.
*Oriental Bodywork - 168 hours - Learn to give a full, basic shiatsu
massage as well as a Thai yoga style massage. Also learn fundamentals of
five-element Chinese Medicine Theory and Chinese Cupping techniques.
Includes 16 hour clinic.
*Musculoskeletal Anatomy, Kinesology - 64 hours - You will
discover the muscles, bones, nerves and blood vessels - where they are and
how we move. Work with clay and posterboard models, too. All work is
reinforced in massage therapies classes.
*Pathology - 40 hours - Understand physical problems and disease you
may encounter with clients--the causes, symptoms, general treatments, and
how to respond as a professional bodyworker.
*Anatomy & Physiology - 56 hours - Millions of activities are occurring
every minute in the human body. Discover how the inner body functions.
Complementary Therapies Classes- are to enhance your practice, help you personally, and make you a more complete bodyworker. Some of them are introductory, giving you a taste of the modality to see if you would like to delve deeper into it. Some are for your own personal growth, and all of them give you a broader scope and awareness as a Practitioner.
Yoga - 8 hours - We feel that the gentle movements and breathing in yoga give a better understanding of the body, and contribute to the well-being of the therapist.

*Raindrop Aromatherapy - 4 hours - Learn and practice with a number of essential oils, adding hot moist towels for a very wonderful experience.
*Hot Stone Massage - 4 hours - This popular therapy will add zip to your practice.
*Chair Massage - 8 hours - Can be used just about anywhere...businesses, street fairs, conferences, parties and more.
*Intro. to Prenatal Massage - 4 hours - Some people need special care, and knowing prenatal is a wonderful gift for the mom-to-be.

*Intro. to Sports Massage - 4 hours - Learn special pre-event, interim and post-event techniques.
*Reflexology - 8 hours - A fabulous additional tool for your practice. Know how to work the points on the
hands and feet.
Stress Reduction & Meditation - 4 hours - Find ways to center, go within and use visualization for better
health and relaxation. Have techniques to share with your clients.
*Intro. to CranioSacral Therapy I - 16 hours - Work developed by an osteopathic physician which
relates to the movements of the bones of the head and different rhythms of the body. Gentle, but powerful,
energy work.
Business & Ethics - 10 hours - 1. The Code of Ethics set by the National Certification Board and those of
many massage organizations, plus appropriate dress, integrity and disclosure of scope of practice, sexual
misconduct and client interaction. 2. How to create and maintain a successful practice, goal setting, time and
energy management, professionalism, networking, licensing, fee, financial management. 3. Marketing and
promotion skills.
OUR STAFF
An important aspect of Omega is that all of our teachers are currently practicing
professionals in their fields, which means they are still in touch with the work and not
just theoretically "remembering."
Our Director and main teacher, Telema, has been in both private and medical practice
for 25+years. She studied healing arts, yoga and meditation in the U.S., Europe and
India. Telema is passionate about healing and conscious growth of body, mind and
spirit.... and believes life should include good doses of fun and laughter.

WHAT TO DO NEXT TO BEGIN:
1. Call and make an appointment to meet with Omega.
2. Decide which schedule you would like, fill out an application, and present it.
3. Read and complete the enrollment form.
4. Present proof of high school graduation or GED, or take and pass a short reading
test
5. Have your health care provider attest that you are in sufficient physical condition to
give and receive massage.
6. Join us on the starting date!
